A Baseball Roadtrip

How many people would drive over 12 hours to see three hours worth of baseball? Josh, Keith, Matt, and I are four. On Friday, April 25 we set course for southern Indiana to stay at Matt's parent's house. Our destination for Saturday was brand new Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio.

We left Matt's parents house at around 8:00 a.m. to arrive at the ballpark early enough to catch batting practice. We ended up taking a bit of a scenic route to the stadium, but we arrived right as the Reds were starting bp. Our seats were really great. They were in the first row in left field, so we had a really good view.

The weather was perfect. It was a little hotter than we thought it was going to be, but I guess that is better than being too cold.

The game ended up going into extra innings, but the Reds won in the bottom of the tenth with a score of 7-6. We left Cincinnati at around 5:00 and got back to DeKalb at 11:00 finishing off a long, but worthwhile, day.
